Three hundred guests sounds like a lot of people. At most venues, it is. You’re packed into a ballroom with folding chairs shoulder to shoulder, or you’re spilling onto a lawn with nowhere for half your guests to sit comfortably. At Villa Loriana, three hundred guests spread across thirty acres. Your ceremony happens under a stone pergola surrounded by oak trees. Cocktail hour moves to an outdoor pavilion with stone arches and water features. Reception fills our grand ballroom with west facing windows. Everyone has space to breathe, and it still feels like your wedding, not a conference.
The Property Gives Your Guest Count Room to Move
Villa Loriana sits on thirty acres in the Edna Valley. That’s not thirty acres of empty field. It’s a two story Italian Villa, over an acre of waterfalls and water features, a large park lawn with bocce courts and horseshoe pits, paved parking for up to ninety cars, and oak groves that line the ceremony and cocktail spaces.
When your guests arrive, they park in our paved lots and walk through the grounds to your ceremony site. The stone pergola is draped in wisteria vines, with water features and oak trees framing the space. We provide chairs for up to two hundred guests for both ceremony and reception, and we can seat up to three hundred total if your guest list grows.
After the ceremony, your guests don’t bottleneck in a hallway or crowd around a single bar. They move to the outdoor pavilion for cocktail hour. The pavilion is surrounded by stone arches with built in water features, and our bar is equipped with a kegerator for draft beer service. Wine, beer, and spirits are all welcome. The park lawn spreads out from there, so people can walk, play bocce, or gather in smaller groups under the oaks.
The Ballroom Holds Three Hundred Without Feeling Packed
Reception happens in our grand Villa ballroom. The west facing windows fill the room with golden light during sunset, and our chandeliers carry the glow into the evening. We provide twenty five round tables and chairs for your ceremony and reception setup.
The ballroom was designed to hold three hundred guests comfortably. You’re not cramming tables together or cutting dance floor space to fit everyone. Your caterer has room to move between tables, your photographer can shoot from multiple angles without backing into a corner, and your guests can get up from their seats without disrupting the entire row.
Our built in bar sits in the ballroom, so beverage service continues from cocktail hour into reception without a pause. The bar connects to our electrical system with 30 plus dedicated 20 amp circuits across the villa, catering areas, and bar, so your bartenders aren’t troubleshooting power in the middle of service.
Private Estate Means No Competing Events
When you book Villa Loriana, you book the entire property. There’s no wedding next door, no corporate event in the other wing, no strangers walking through your cocktail hour to get to their rental cottage. Your three hundred guests are the only people here, and every space on the property is yours for the weekend.
You get a two night stay in four luxury suites that sleep up to eighteen guests. The Baldini, Toscana, and Sorrento Suites are inside the Villa with private entrances, and the Cottage sits up the hill among the oaks. Your closest family and wedding party wake up with you, get ready in the Baldini Suite with its full length mirrors and natural morning light, and walk downstairs to your ceremony.
On Sunday morning, we host farewell brunches on the outdoor pavilion or the Cottage’s private patio. Your overnight guests get a few more hours together on the property before they leave. That kind of time together makes a big wedding feel smaller.
The Flow Keeps People Moving, Not Waiting
Most venues with three hundred guests turn into a waiting game. Guests wait for the ceremony to start, wait in a cramped hallway during cocktail hour, wait for tables to be announced, wait in line at a single bar. At Villa Loriana, the property is designed so people keep moving.
Ceremony to cocktail hour happens across the grounds. The outdoor pavilion is a separate space from the ceremony site, so your guests walk through the property instead of standing in place. The park lawn, bocce court, and horseshoe pits give people things to do while your photographer is shooting family photos.
When it’s time for reception, guests move into the ballroom. The bar is already set up, tables are in place, and our on site Villa Loriana staff is there to keep everything on schedule. Our caterer’s prep kitchen includes refrigeration, sinks, prep tables, and a dedicated staff restroom, so your catering team moves efficiently. We handle trash service, and the covered catering patio accommodates most catering vehicles, which means vendors aren’t hauling equipment through your event space.
What’s Included When You Host Three Hundred Guests
Your wedding package includes the tables and chairs, the built in bar with kegerator, on site Villa Loriana staff for your wedding day, and a two night stay in our four suites for up to eighteen guests. You also get over an acre of waterfalls and water features, tree and landscape accent lighting, paved parking for up to ninety cars plus vendor spaces, and complimentary Wi-Fi for guests and vendors.
We designed Villa Loriana with vendor input, so the power, catering flow, and logistics work for professional teams. Your beverage service, catering, photography, and planning all happen in a space built for what they actually do. A back up generator keeps everything running no matter what.
You can add a welcome party, rehearsal dinner, or farewell brunch to your wedding weekend. Late checkout and extended stays are available if you want more time in the suites.
Conclusion:
We’re located at 500 West Ormonde Road in San Luis Obispo, in the Edna Valley on California’s Central Coast. The property sits midway between Los Angeles and San Francisco, minutes from Pismo Beach and downtown San Luis Obispo. Vineyards and oak groves surround the estate, and the ocean is close enough for a quick drive.
Your photographer has access to the full thirty acres, including the waterfalls, the stone turret with arched windows, the oak lined park lawns, and the Italian villa architecture. We built this place with natural light in mind, so golden hour happens both outside on the grounds and inside the reception space.
