We are family owned-and-operated, and have poured love into every corner of this estate since 2012.
Our story is one of heartfelt resilience.
Rob and Lori Gillespie first dreamed up Loriana while sitting in lawn chairs on their then untouched property, just south of San Luis Obispo. Wine glasses in hand, they envisioned a family business that would also serve as a place for other families to make beautiful memories.
In the Beginning…
We set about developing the land with respectful intention to highlight the natural beauty in a simple, rustic venue called Loriana Ranch.
In 2013, our first wedding took place in a grand tent, where the villa now stands. A few months later, construction on our cozy cottages was nearly complete when the unthinkable happened – fire broke out. The damage was extensive, and ‘Loriana Ranch’ was no more.
Go Big, or Go Home
Faced with the tough decision to walk away or rebuild, we decided to completely reimagine the space and create something truly unforgettable: Villa Loriana
Completed in 2018, the Villa that now stands is the result of that resilience. We both got married on the property—Tyler to Danyelle in 2018, Jesse to Jenna in 2022. Villa Loriana is not only our business, but a deeply personal part of our love stories.
Today, we operate the venue together, opening our gates to couples and event hosts who value beauty, privacy, and meaning in every moment.
